ANJUNG TAMU ONLINE: Social responsibility and the love to UUM inspires 36 students from Technology Video Group A & B co-curriculum subunit to uncover the history of UUM in 1984 and the achievements throughout 32 years of its establishment.

In this context, Welcome Centre has been selected as the location for them to conduct the gotong-royong activity in order to instil the responsibility attributes, values, work ethics and the importance of the sense of belonging to UUM.

The chair of the programme, Muhammad Asri Jaini said, “the gotong-royong to clean the Welcome Centre areas such as the prayer’s hall, toilets and the areas surrounding gave us the satisfaction to gain knowledge, serve our virtue and provide service to our dearly beloved UUM.”

“Apart from that, we are able to strengthen the bond among the group members regardless of our race, religion and culture,” he added.

“The fish pond and the areas surrounding Welcome Centre are beautiful and peaceful,” says the Programme Manager, Chan Chun Weng.

“Gotong-royong activities are able to build self-esteem and produce outstanding individuals. We are very fortunate to know UUM and learn here,” he said.

In general, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through community services and gotong-royong are the healthy lifestyle and it could lead to positive impact to one, family and the society.
