SoIS ONLINE – Health and green aspects are two important features in the development of a good working environment. Taking the two aspects in consideration, SoIS through its Welfare and Recreation Club started its 60th Independence Celebration 2017 activities with Zumba, a fitness activity which attracted not only its staff but also the participation of staff from other departments in UUM. This health-care program is one of the key activities that is often held to enhance the fitness and create team spirit among its staff.

The other program held was the Go Green II 2017 activity which is a continuation from one of the 2016 activities. In its Go Green project 2016, SoIS planted fruit trees namely Harum Manis and Cokanan trees, and in addition to that SoIS also planted bougainvillea trees since they are popular landscape plants in UUM. However for the Go Green II 2017, the school planted coconut, Monthong durian and rambutan trees. This Adopt-a-Tree plantation project is where each staff will donate selected trees and take care of their respective trees. Through this project the landscape around SoIS will not only be maintained but it is hoped that the green area will uplift the working spirit of the staff and attract people from outside of UUM to come to SoIS.
