UUM RECEIVES HEALTH PACKS FROM THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) received health packs donated by the Consulate General of the Republic of China in Penang for the third time last Tuesday. UUM through its Centre of International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC) received contributions last April after the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) nationwide back in March.

The Director of CIAC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Badariah Hj. Din who represented UUM expressed her elation and thanked the Consulate General of the Republic of China in Penang for his willingness to contribute health packs for the third time for the use of Chinese students on UUM campus.

"The close ties further strengthen cooperation between the two parties for the common benefit in the future," she said.

The health packs were handed over to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student and Alumni Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hendrik Lamsali at the Student Accommodation Centre (SAC) Meeting Room recently.

Dr. Hendrik expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Consulate General of the Republic of China in Penang who was concerned about the welfare of their students at UUM.
