TV3 MEDIA EXPLORE THE BEAUTY OF SINTOK FOREST

UUM ONLINE 10 February 2015: With the end of the three-day Media Familiarization Trip (MFT) 2015 organised by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), representatives from TV3 took the opportunity to record of the beauty of the Sintok forest, yesterday.

Accompanying, Ms. Salina Zakaria Abd Aziz Ahmad and Mr. Shahfuanuar Saidin who are representatives of TV3 on the Sintok forest exploration were Senior Assistant Conservator of Forests, Mr. Amran Mahmud, and Forester, Mr. Ramli Osman of the Development and Maintenance Department (JPP) UUM.

The media representatives were taken on a tour around campus where they visited the lookout tower where birds and wildlife are often observed from, the largest Merbau tree in UUM, UUM and Thailand border as well as the Sintok tree which is the icon of the Welcome Centre.

Guests from TV3 were also given a briefing about the life of the flora and fauna found in the Sintok forest.

The visit to explore and record the beauty of the Sintok forest also enlisted the help of the UUM 4 x 4 Association and the Security Department.
