SIPTIK IV: GREEN TECHNOLOGY, INNOVATION AND COMMERCIALIZATION TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY

UUM ONLINE, 15 May 2013: School of Technology Management & Logistics (STML) in collaboration with the Center for University-Industry Cooperation (CUIC) held a symposium on Technology Management, Operations and Logistics 2013 (SIPTIK IV) with the theme 'Green Technology, Innovation and Commercialization Towards Sustainability'.

According to the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr Zulkifli Mohamed Udin this programme was held to produce students who are able to become researchers who can cultivate ideas and improve innovative and creative thinking to produce a quality study or project.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Prof. Dr. Rosna Awang Hashim in her opening speech said that this program can improve human skills and enhance the students' personality.

Among the topics presented in the field of technology management, operations and logistics were Information and Communication Technology, Agro Business, Manufacturing, Construction Business, Logistics, Energy and the Environment.

Among the industries involved were the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Malaysia's Construction Academy (ABM) and Agro Belantik Cooperation.

Also attended the opening ceremony were Chief Librarian, Salleh Huddin Mustaffa and Prof. Ir Dr. Che Sobry Abdullah.
