UUM ONLINE: 20 June 2012- In efforts to position Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM ) as a Research University (RU) , the School of Technology Management and Logistics ( STML ) in collaboration with the Centre For University-Industry Collaboration ( CUIC ) organised the 2014 Symposium on Management of Technology , Operations and Logistics ( Siptik VI ) recently.

According to the Dean of STML, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulkifli Mohamed Udin, the symposium provided lecturers, students and final year students with a much needed platform to present their research work.

17 May 2012 - School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML), has created history in the ITEX 2012 when it won the gold medal through research entitled "Innovation in Green Management Technology Case in Rural Area al Lovely Farm". ITEX 2012 is the 23^rdInvention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, which took place in Kuala Lumpur on 17 to 19 May 2012.

ALOR STAR Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) akan mengharamkan penggunaan bekas makanan polisterina dalam kampus universiti itu bermula Julai ini melalui program kesedaran menjaga alam sekitar yang bakal dijalankan.Kempen yang dinamakan Kempen Mesra Eko (EFC) bertemakan Hidup Dalam Harmoni itu bertujuan memberi kesedaran terhadap kepentingan alam sekitar di kalangan komuniti kampus, terutamanya pelajar dan kakitangan.

Pengarah Jabatan Canselori UUM, Mohd. Zaini Nasri berkata, bagi menjayakan kempen itu semua pengusaha makanan diminta tidak menggunakan bekas polisterina dalam aktiviti penjualan makanan mereka.
